No questions match that — try something else, or just ask us directly.
How long is a typical stay?
We welcome stays of any length, though most guests stay for a week. Short breaks are available outside of peak season — just ask.
Do you allow dogs?
Yes — well-behaved dogs are very welcome. Glen Sannox is paradise for dogs with mountains and coast right on the doorstep. A small supplement applies — please mention it when you enquire.
What's included in the rental?
Bed linen, towels, and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything you need for a comfortable stay — full details are on The Cottage page.
When is changeover day?
Saturday is our usual changeover day during peak season, with flexibility at other times of year.
What's the cancellation policy?
We'll share full terms when we confirm your booking. We try to be as fair and flexible as possible — just get in touch if your circumstances change.
How do we get there?
The cottage is in Glen Sannox on the Isle of Arran, reached by ferry from Troon to Brodick — a little over an hour. Full directions and ferry info are on our Getting Here page.

Is there a washing machine?
Yes — there's a washing machine at the cottage, ideal for longer stays or muddy walking gear.
Are children welcome?
Of course — Woodside has been a family cottage since 1957 and children have always been part of the story. The beach, the garden, the rock pools, the glen — it's a genuinely wonderful place for them.
What's the Wi-Fi like?
Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage — good for emails, browsing, and keeping in touch. You're in a Scottish glen, so don't expect city speeds, but it does the job.
Is there a TV?
Yes — there's a Smart TV in the lounge, so streaming your favourite shows after a long day on the hills is very much possible.
How far is it from Brodick?
About 20–30 minutes by car along the coastal road — a beautiful drive in itself, especially with the views across the Firth of Clyde.
What should we pack?
Layers are your friend on Arran — the weather can change four times in a day. Waterproofs, walking boots, and something warm for evenings by the fire. Everything else the cottage provides.
Can we have a BBQ?
Yes — the garden is yours to enjoy. Just ask us when you enquire and we'll let you know what's available.
Is there a minimum stay?
We typically let by the week in peak season. Outside of peak season we're happy to consider shorter stays — just get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
