Three bedrooms, an open fire, a library with a glen view, and the beach at the end of the garden.
Woodside is a traditional Scottish cottage steeped in family history — in continuous use by the same family since 1957. It sits at the very foot of Glen Sannox, one of Arran's most dramatic glens, with the mountains rising directly behind and the beach just steps from the garden gate.
The entire cottage and grounds are available exclusively for your party. No shared facilities, no other guests — just you and Woodside.
Centrally heated throughout with plentiful hot water. Excellent drying facilities for wet and muddy walking kit. Dogs welcome by prior arrangement.

A large sitting room with an open fire — the heart of the cottage on long summer evenings. Deep armchairs and sofa, a curated library stocked over generations, and views across the garden. A quieter reading room looks directly up the glen.
A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for a proper family holiday. Plenty of space for preparation and storage, with all the essentials supplied.
Two full bathrooms with plentiful hot water — one with a deep bath, ideal for soaking after a long day on the hills. Power shower also available.
The informal gardens were laid out by Ronald and Nancy Graham and survive beautifully to this day. Stone steps lead directly from the lower garden to the beach — the same steps built over a century ago for guests arriving by steam yacht.
The principal bedroom with double bed and views over the garden and sea. A comfortable, characterful room filled with pieces collected by the family over generations.
A comfortable twin bedroom with views over the garden and sea. Light and bright with ample storage.
The third upstairs bedroom — ideal for a smaller party or child's room. Cosy and characterful with garden views.
The practical heart of the house for outdoor enthusiasts — the perfect landing zone for muddy boots and wet weather gear after a day on the hills or the beach.
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Woodside — the beach, the glen, and the lanes make it a genuine paradise for them. A supplement of £15 per dog applies. Dogs sleep in the utility room and are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the furniture.
Please bring bedding for your dog and mention them when booking.
Woodside can accommodate larger groups on request. Get in touch and we'll be happy to discuss what's possible.
